Privacy Notice
What Business Stuff does with your information. Last reviewed August 2026.
Business Stuff is published by Buzz Accounting Ltd, which is the data controller for the personal information described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company no. 15182358, at 16 Aylmer Parade, Aylmer Road, London N2 0PE. For anything in this notice, email hello@buzzaccounting.co.uk.
What we collect
If you subscribe to the newsletter or ask for one of the free tools, we collect your email address, and your name where you give one. If you send us a message through a form, we also collect what you wrote.
We count page views so we know which articles are worth writing more of. That counter stores no cookies, no IP addresses and nothing that identifies you — each visit is recorded as an anonymous hit against the article.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics is loaded and records anonymised usage data. If you decline, it is never loaded. The cookie policy covers that in full.
Why, and on what basis
To send you what you asked for and to reply to you. Our lawful basis is your consent for the newsletter and for analytics — both of which you can withdraw at any time — and legitimate interests where you have contacted us and expect an answer. Every email we send has a working unsubscribe link.
Who else sees it
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) — our email platform. It receives your email address, your name if you gave one, and any message you sent, so it can deliver the newsletter and anything you requested. Data is processed in the EU.
- Netlify — hosting, which logs standard access data such as IP address as part of serving any website.
- Google Analytics — only if you accepted analytics cookies.
Nobody else. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Articles on this site link out to other organisations; once you follow a link you are on their site and their privacy terms apply.
How long we keep it
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, and removed shortly afterwards. Messages that need no further action are deleted within two years.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent. Email hello@buzzaccounting.co.uk and we will deal with it within a month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
